TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a search of the office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Mineral and Coal Directorate General.

Information about the search was confirmed by the anti-graft commission's spokesperson Ali Fikri. Ali said that the search was carried out on Monday, March 27, 2023.

"It is true that there is a search activity conducted by the KPK team at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. It is still ongoing," Ali said in a written statement.

However, Ali did not provide further details about the search. The KPK's agenda, Ali claimed, was related to the investigation of corruption cases at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"It is related to new investigation activities by the KPK on allegations of corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," Ali explained.
