TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang (MLBB) Indonesia national team bagged the championship title in the IESF Bali 14th World Esports Championship 2022 after defeating the Philippines, Sunday.

In the competition, held in Nusa Dua, Bali, the Indonesian team beat the Philippines, with a 3-0 score, in a best-of-five match, where it can also be won by players, who win the first three games.

The Indonesian national team, which included Rachmad "Dreams" Wahyudi, Darrel Jovanco "Tazz" Wijaya, Jabran Bagus "Branz" Wiloko, Rizqi "Saykots" Damank, and Dalvin "Hijumee" Ramadhan, acquired one game point for securing its first place in the Grand Finals.

The first game was a nail-biter, until the 12th minute became the momentum for Indonesia to excel when it secured the lord. The Red and White team increasingly asserted its dominance in the 16th minute when it secured the lord.

The second game was the determining moment for Indonesia to win the title. The Philippines played aggressively by attacking the Indonesian team in the early game.

In the 23rd minute, when Dreams intensified the killing spree, it was a moment for Indonesia to return to the situation. Indonesia then succeeded in defeating four Filipino players and finally winning the game, with a 3-0 score.

"Thank you for supporting us, so that we can win like this. Let us just pray that Indonesian esports will continue to expand in the future, not only Mobile Legends but all of them," Branz stated.

"The moment of the grand final was the first time we played on the big stage, let alone representing Indonesia, it was unforgettable," he added.

With the victory of the MLBB national team, Indonesia won three gold in the world esports championship, another two gold from DOTA 2 and eFootball games, and one bronze from the women's CS:GO.
