Lukas Enembe's Lawyer Attends KPK Summons Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lukas Enembe's attorney, Stefanus Roy Rening, visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday, November 28. He came to meet the investigators team and attend the KPK's summons.
The arrival of Enembe's attorney was confirmed by KPK spokesman, Ali Fikri. "He came as a witness to fulfill the summons of the KPK investigation team," Ali Fikri said.
Ali said that the lawyer came to provide information concerning the alleged corruption involving Lukas Enembe, a Democrat Party politician. He also said that Rening had missed previous KPK summons related to the case investigation.
"It is true that we had summoned [Stefanus Roy Rening] before to provide a witness statement for suspect Lukas Enembe, and he was not present," Ali said in a written message.
The corruption case implicating Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is an alleged bribery in several development projects in the province. The KPK examined Luke Enembe's health on November 3 by bringing a team of doctors and a team of KPK investigators led directly by KPK chief Firli Bahuri.
The KPK had also summoned Luke Enembe's lawyers for questioning, but they failed to appear.
