TEMPO.CO, JakartaIndonesia's state-owned construction company Hutama Karya received a contract from the Bali Provincial Government to build the Turyapada Tower Project. The tower will be the tallest in Bali, located in Pangayaman Village, Buleleng Regency.

Hutama Karya's Executive Vice President (EVP) for Building Division, Purnomo, signed the Rp334.27 billion project deal on July 13 with Yupi Wahyundari from the Bali Provincial Government.

On Saturday, July 23, the project's ground-breaking ceremony took place on the project site. The tower will stand 115 meters high with an area of 13,767.7 square meters.

Bali Governor I Wayan Koster said Turyapada Tower would be the first iconic tower in Indonesia and a global tourist attraction. Turyapada Tower will have an array of facilities, including serving as transmitters for digital TV broadcast, cellular telecommunications, and the internet.

The body of the tower will host public facilities including a planetarium, skywalk, 360-degree swivel restaurant, and a glass bridge. The pedestrian tower will act to support activities such as convention tours as well as host educational laboratories, and the Museum of the Excellence of Balinese Culture.

Ferry Febrianto, the second director of operations at Hutama Karya, said the company is planning to complete the project in 450 working days, or around a year and three months.

In addition to Turyapada Tower, Hutama Karya's portfolio of infrastructure projects in Bali include the Bali Mandara Toll Road, Six Sense, and Alilla Uluwatu.
