61,070 Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia; 558 Sick, 11 Died

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 61,070 Indonesian hajj pilgrims have arrived at the holy land, either at Jeddah Airport or Madinah as of June 25.
"Of the number, 47,488 pilgrims are already in Mecca, and the rest are performing arbain ritual in Medina," said Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) spokesperson, Akhmad Fauzin, in a statement on Saturday, June 25.
He said that Indonesia is scheduled to depart the hajj pilgrims until July 3rd. On Friday, 2,866 pilgrims, divided into seven groups, left for the holy land from six embarkations.
Fauzin also mentioned the data of Indonesian pilgrims who are sick and passed away in Saudi Arabia. Until today, there are 558 pilgrims who are sick, with 383 outpatients and 188 people treated at the Indonesian hajj health clinic (KKHI), 17 people are treated at Saudi Arabia Hospital (RSAS) in Madinah, and a total of 11 pilgrims have died.
