TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Wuling Motors Indonesia is rumored to be launching an electric car in the Indonesian automotive market soon. The assumption came following an Instagram post by a Wuling salesperson's account with the handle @wulingaristapluit on Wednesday, May 25, 2022,
The posted image was that of a car's silhouette with the words "Electrify Your World Shaping the New Era of EV" written on it. In the post's caption, the user wrote "Coming Soon".
Based on the image uploaded, it is possible that the electric car is the Wuling Mini EV.
It can be seen from the car hood, which looks similar to Wuling's mini EV. Until Wuling confirms it, that remains speculation.
The Wuling Mini EV was introduced to the Indonesian market during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition last year. At the auto show, this tiny electric car—less than 1.5 meters wide and less than 3.0 meters in length—was quite the crowd puller.
