Young Entrepreneurs Help Move The Economy, Says Vice President

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin stated on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, that young entrepreneur with high competitive spirits are one of the many components that help move the economy amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We would need at least three aspects to move the economy that starts with controlling the pandemic, accommodative policies, and striving businesspeople such as HIPMI," said the Vice President during the opening of the Sharia Conference 2022 event, which is held by the Young Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI).
Ma'ruf underlined the importance of economy and sharia financing to help recover Indonesia's economy.
"What needs to be prioritized in the national economy is sharia finances. We must be able to utilize major potential to boost the economy such as population and demand, the halal lifestyle that has been adopted well in Indonesia and other parts of the world," said the Vice President.
Amin insisted that Indonesia has the advantage in leading sectors such as sharia financing, agriculture, halal food and beverages, Muslim fashion, Muslim-friendly tourism. All of which he said helped support the country’s economy throughout the pandemic.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of understanding and foresight of young entrepreneurs to take the existing challenges into new opportunities.
