Magnitude 5.1 Earthquake Shakes Bengkulu, No Tsunami Potential

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported a 5.1 magnitude earthquake had jolted a Bengkulu region, Enggano, on Saturday, February 26, at 6:58 loal time.
According to the meteorology agency, the epicenter was at 4.92 South Latitude and 101.72 East Longitude. The quake was centered in the sea, or 77 km northwest of Enggano at the depth of 18 km.
BMKG reported that there was no tsunami potential.
The shaking was felt in Bengkulu at the level II-III of the Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) scale.
