Search and Rescue Team Looks for Missing Child Allegedly Attacked by Crocodile

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Buru Police Sector and search and rescue team (SAR) on Thursday evening are on their second day search mission for a 9-year old child who was reported to be missing at the Kaki Aer Village since Tuesday. Locals allege the child had been attacked by a crocodile.
“The missing nine-year-old kid is Sakira Natania Safrulla,” said Buru Police Spokesperson Ajd. Insp. Djamaludin on Thursday, Antaranews reported.
Baesed on the locals' report, the child went missing after spending the afternoon swimming with friends at a local river. Witnesses reported to locals that Sakira had been attacked by a crocodile. Police and search and rescue team was immediately dispatched after the report was made.
Unfortunately, the nine year old has yet to be found as the search effort lasted until Thursday. During the first day of the search, the SAR team did in fact find a crocodile in the search area and captured it, but unfortunately no clues were found after the team split open the captured crocodile.
