"Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today is 846,416 cases," the office's head of disease prevention and control Dwi Oktavia said on Monday, August 23.

Jakarta has reported a total of 824,958 recoveries, bringing the recovery rate to 97.5 percent. Meanwhile, the capital's Covid mortality rate is at 1.6 percent with 13,193 deaths, or lower than the national death rate of 3.2 percent.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta's positivity rate over the past week was 6.4 percent, while the total is 14.9 percent, exceeding the WHO standard of 5 percent.

On the other hand, the capital has injected vaccines to 9,363,908 people or 104.7 percent for the first dose. The number of residents who have received two doses is 4,879,571 people or 54.6 percent.
