TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - KFC Indonesia is giving Covid-19 vaccines for 16,000 employees starting Monday, August 16. The vaccine rollout is a collaboration between KFC Indonesia and the Justice Building Solidarity Movement, the Indonesian Motor Association, and the Islamic Hospital.
KFC Indonesia operator, Fast Food Indonesia (IDX: FAST), said that vaccination is held to ensure that all KFC employees are protected against Covid-19.
"This is also our effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus by prioritizing employees' health, instilling a sense of security and public trust," FAST director and corporate secretary Justinus Dalimin Juwono said in a written statement.
For the initial stage, KFC will inoculate employees in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi.
In addition to vaccinations for employees, Justinus also encourages 750 KFC outlets throughout Indonesia to obtain Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment (CHSE) certificates, to ensure a sense of security and comfort among staff and customers—whether dine-in, take away, or delivery.
"The vaccination program is a form of KFC's readiness to welcome back customers because the government has re-allowed on-site dining services for a limited time," Justinus said. He expressed his hope that vaccinations—coupled with strict health protocols—can help the economy recover.
