TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that parents who want their children to be vaccinated can easily do that by visiting the neighborhood's public health center or Puskesmas. Parents who have registered to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot can bring along their children, showing the family card.
"If the parents are registered but the children are not, simply bring them along. There is no need to go twice and register twice," the governor said at the City Hall on Monday, July 5.
Anies said that parents can also register their children for COVID-19 vaccination through the JAKI app, which allows them to choose when and where they want to be vaccinated.
The Jakarta provincial government started COVID-19 vaccination program for children on July 1. Anies said that the vaccine rollout for kids are for those residing in Jakarta, even if their parents' ID cards were not issued in the capital.
"So, anyone who lives in Jakarta can get vaccine," Anies Baswedan said.
