TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial government has prepared 21 hopsitals to treat possible side effects of the Covid-19 vaccine.
"The Jakarta Health Agency along with the Post-Vaccination Event Mitigation Regional Comittee has prepared a team to monitor post-vaccination effects on every administration level," said Widyastuti in an online discussion on Thursday, December 14, 2021.
The Jakarta Health Agency will monitor side effects following the vaccination starting from mild symptoms to systemic sympstoms. The monitoring is needed because a vaccination is in fact an introduction of foreign substance to the human body to trigger immunity. "We also coordinate with experts to monitor the post-vaccination effects," Widyatuti said.
Covid-19 vaccination for medical workers have been started Thursday, January 14, 2021, in several hospitals and community health centers. Meanwhile, for the provincial level, vaccination will took place on Friday, January 15, 2021.
The Jakarta Health Agency has received 39,200 vials of Sinovac Vaccines from PT Biofarma on January 4, 2021. Another 39,200 vials were received on January 7, 2021, followed by 41,640 vials on January 11, 2021.
"The total as of January 11, 2021, we have received 120,040 vials. The vaccines is only enough for 60,000 medical workers, and the number is still not enough because data showed that the number of medical workers and support workers in Jakarta reached 131,000 people," Widyatuti said.
