TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry is set to disburse state capital injections (PMN) worth Rp2 trillion to state pharmaceutical firm Bio Farma by the end of this year. This was revealed by the Finance Ministry’s Director General of State Wealth Isa Rachmatarwata.
“If it’s possible we can add it to the 2020 state budget plan (APBN) because it is relevant to the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are only 2 months left but I guess that would be enough for us to manage,” said Isa in Friday’s virtual discussion.
Isa added the discussion with the House of Representatives (DPR) budget committee (Banggar) sparked the idea of increasing the capital injections for Bio Farma Group, which has now become a holding.
The capital injections will reportedly be used to construct facilities for medications and vaccine production.
