Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train Progress at 60%

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Xin Xuezhong, HSR director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), said that the progress of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train project is at 60 percent. Xin said he wants the project to be completed on target.
"Today we begin to install box girders at three casting yard locations," said Xin Xuezhong during a girder installation ceremony in Cikarang, Wednesday, September 2.
Xin said the company continues to ensure that working condition at the project site is in accordance with applicable work safety and quality standards.
Yesterday, girder installations were being carried out in three locations at once; Cikarang, Karawang and Bandung City.
The project also includes 13 tunnels. To date, three tunnels have been made.
