IDX Invites Traveloka to Go Public

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) said that they have met with Traveloka to invite the unicorn into the capital market. IDX's director for corporate assessment, I Gede Nyoman Yetna, said he met with Traveloka and talked about the possibility for the startup to hold an IPO.

“I met with one unicorn [Traveloka]. The bottom line is, they are interested in going public," Nyoman said here on Wednesday, April 10.

According to Nyoman, Traveloka has not decided on anything yet, as they are still considering a number of aspects—one of them is taxes. 

“We need to discuss further and we are following up on things with the Tax Directorate General and the Fiscal Policy Office," Nyoman said. 

The Finance Ministry had said that they will make evaluations on tax policies in the capital market in a bid to attract more companies to go public.
