TEMPO.CO, JBandarlampung - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning on strong winds and high tides estimated to hit several regions in Lampung Province on Wednesday until Thursday morning, September 5-6, 2018.
As announced by Forecaster team on Duty of Lampung Meteorology Station Radin Inten II at Branti today, a possible strong wind would occur in the west coastal district, Tanggamus, Pesawaran, Bandarlampung city and South Lampung, as well as high waves at around 2.5-4.0 meters height in west seas of Lampung and south of Sunda Straits.
The general forecast of Lampung province, which valid on September 5, from 7 AM until September 6, at 7 AM, suggested the wind blows from southeast to south with speeds around 3-20 knots (5-37 km/h). The visibility ranges from 4 to 10 kilometers.
The air temperature measured at 23-33 degrees Celsius, except in West Lampung, Tanggamus, and West Coast districts that range from 16 to 30 degrees Celsius.
The air humidity in general, meanwhile, ranges between 50-88 percent, except in West Lampung, Tanggamus, and West Coast districts at 60-95 percent.
In general, a local rain would fall in Lampung areas: Tanggamus regency and West Coast in the morning, west coast and west Lampung in the afternoon until evening, while in the late evening will be cloudy, and in an early day the potential rain will fall in Tanggamus Regency and West Coast.
