TEMPO.CO, San Francisco - Sony Interactive Entertainment has sold many consoles since it first launched PlayStations in 1994.
Recently, the company reached 525.3 million console sales. To celebrate this milestone, Sony will release a limited edition PS4 Pro with a translucent blue-dark design that had never appeared on the main console since the Nintendo 64’s debut. This edition will be released in limited form with 50,000 console units distributed worldwide.
The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro will also be equipped with a DualShock 4 controller, a headset, a PlayStation Camera, and a Vertical Stand.
This is not the first time for Sony to release a limited edition PS4 to celebrate its inscribed-history. The blue-gold PS4 model has also issued to celebrate the annual sales of Days of Play. In 2014, the retro-style PS4 console was launched to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Sony will sell the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro at a price of US$499.99, equivalent to Rp7.3 million. Although more expensive than the standard version of the PS4 Pro, the limited edition model compensates it with 2 TB hard drive storage, twice as large as the standard PS4 Pro.
For those who do not want to buy PS4 Pro, the 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 controller will also be available for US$64.99 (Rp950,000). Furthermore, Sony will also launch the 500 Million LE Gold Wireless Headset at a price of US$99.99 (Rp1.5 million).
The 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro will go on sale online on August 24 and is available in stores in early September.
