TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian state-carrier Garuda Indonesia has submitted for extra flight schedules upon serving passengers conducting the Umrah pilgrimage by the end of 2018.
“Specifically from October to December we have submitted for extra flights,” said Surakarta’s Garuda Indonesia sales manager Budi Priantoro in Solo, Central Java today.
According to Budi, Garuda Indonesia is eyeing on two extra flights per week in October and November. Meanwhile requests for December are four extra flight per week.
“Our requests are currently being processed, hopefully it will be realized, if it does, then there will be five additional flights each week in October and November, while December will see six flights each week,” said Budi.
The reason why Garuda Indonesia is adding new flight schedule is because of the current flights for the Umrah quota is already 95 percent filled which directly corresponds to customer’s high demand.
