TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo said the central bank applied three approaches to introduce micro-small-medium enterprises (MSME) in the global market.
“First, MSME can promote its products directly to sellers abroad. Secondly, we connect MSME with bigger enterprises or exporters, and lastly, we link MSME with designers who have an international market,” Perry explained in the third Indonesian Creative Works (KKI)-MSME Aircraft Exhibition organized by Bank Indonesia at the Jakarta Convention Center, Friday, July 20.
According to Perry, the three ways have successfully made MSME opened up a new market segment in the international market, and that proved that Indonesia had high potential in the creative economy sector.
The Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) was officially opened by First Lady Iriana Jokowi, accompanied by Mufidah Jusuf Kalla and several BI’s board members, the Small and Medium Enterprises Minister, the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) head, and MSME and crafts figures.

The public can visit the exhibition starting Friday, July 20 until Sunday, July 22, free of charge. Other than fabrics collections and traditional crafts, the 2018 KKI offered the nation’s best coffee, culinaries, and a fashion show of creative fabrics in which Bank Indonesia collaborated with national designers.
In addition, talk shows and workshops on the strategy to enter the global market would take place during the event. Bank Indonesia also opened a consultation booth for MSME entrepreneurs and the public.
