TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week Spring/Summer of 2018, the annual event to showcase the latest fashion collection, is held again.
The fashion show will feature 23 fashion designers and 19 fashion shows as well as a special-curated show with a KAIN theme.
Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week is a tangible step to actualize the commitment to support the development of the fashion industry and promote the retail sector.
Ria Juwita, the Senior Manager of Event & Promotion and Creative Service of PT Plaza Indonesia Realty Tbk, said that Plaza Indonesia wants to provide the designers and brands to showcase their works.
"Of course each designer has its own inspiration and style to show," she said, Monday, March 19.
The event will be held for five days. On the first day, it will feature a collection of works of Bin House, SEBASTIANred, and Iwan Tirta Private Collection. The second day it will feature a collection of Ted Baker, Lucky Trend, Danjyo Hiyoji, and MICCA. The third day it will feature My Little Pony collection, BCBGMAX AZRIA, and Love & Flair.
Ria said that the Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week this time is special because of the curated show with the KAIN theme.
"Designers are given the freedom to collaborate with batik homes to create a collection using a variety of traditional fabrics, such as batik and cloth looms of non-machine," she said.
Through the special-curated show, Plaza Indonesia wants to present the beauty of Indonesian traditional clothes by the designers as a stylish and unique collection for the younger generation or modern society.
"The event, we hope it can inspire and become a fashion trend with ethnic nuances, as well as preserve and introduce the benefits of Indonesian textiles," said Ria.
