Jokowi Meets Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Delegates

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo today received delegates of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) at the Bogor Presidential Palace. The president received the delegates at 09:00 at the Garuda Room.
Accompanying Widodo to welcome the delegates were Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
The AIIB delegates who came to meet Jokowi include include Alternate Director (Kazakhtan) Nurym Ayazbayev, Director Mehmet Alper Batur Alternate Director Philto Baudry Alternate Director Alberto Cogliate Director Christopher Legg, Director (United) Kingdom) Emil Levendoglu, and others.
Indonesia has been a member of the AIIB since 2016. The bank has also funded 12 major infrastructure projects for its member countries.
President Jokowi appreciated the arrival of AIIB delegates to take a look at several projects. One of those projects is the National Slum Enhancement Project, which the AIIB funded by providing a loan of US$216.5 million.
