TEMPO.CO, Kabul - At least 12 people were killed and 10 others were wounded after a suicide bomb exploded from a car in the Afghanistan capital of Kabul. Local police spokesman Najib Danish told AFP news agency as quoted by Al Jazeera that the target of the bomb blast on Monday, July 24, 2017, was not clear.
Najib Danish explained the suicide bombing occurred before 07:00 local time. The bomb exploded in the minority region of the Shia Hazaras, the persecuted members of community.

"The bomb exploded in the house of the Hazara leader, Mohammed Mohaqeq," said Danish.
This incident has added to the number of disasters in Afghanistan caused by suicide bombings, which have resulted in the death of 1,662 civilians in Kabul in the first half of 2017. The blast occurred just two weeks after the ISIS group attacked a mosque in Kabul that killed at least four people.
According to UN records, the attacks in Kabul account for at least 20 percent of civilian casualties this year, which includes 150 people killed in a large truck bomb attack in the city in May 2017. This suicide bomb adds to the list of horror of Kabul residents face.
