The handicraft uses a green plant which is processed to an indigo dye for the color. You will need a fabric, a wooden stick, and rubber bands before create the pattern. After that, tie the wood or tie the rubber band to the fabric to get the desired pattern.
Next, wet the fabric and begin the dyeing process. It will need four to six times of dyeing and rinsing the fabric so the fabric will not wear off. Besides handkerchiefs, the dyeing can also be done to bags and clothes.
