TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Provincial Government will propose an increase for vehicle-ownership transfer fees (BBNKB) tax. Previously, the tax was 10 percent, now it is proposed to be 15 percent.
Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama admitted the proposal is being proposed to city council. The regulation will be managed under bylaw (Perda).
“The regulation must be in form of bylaw,” he said, Thursday (6/23).
Jakarta Head Dept. of Tax Service, Agus Bambang Setyowidodo, said the highest tax for BBNKB is 20 percent. It is managed under the bill. Jakarta only applies up to 10 percent now.
“15 percent of tax is calculated for new vehicle,” he said.
The regulation is managed under Perda No. 2/2015 about Vehicle Tax. In last 2015 ago, his side had proposed an increase to city council. But it was refused.
“New analysis has been made to complete the proposal,” he closed.
