TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- Rhythm of dangdut music performed by Kua Etnika rocked visitors at the embankment of Main River, Frankfurt, Saturday August 29 at midnight local time. Indonesian senior musician Djaduk Ferianto led the music group in their performance for Museumsuferfest.
Hundreds of Germans and Indonesians domiciled in the country danced along the music accompanied by the night breeze. ‘Pengalaman Pertama’, ‘Sakit Gigi’, ‘Penasaran’, ‘Selayang Pandang’, ‘Terajana’, and ‘Sajojo’ are among dangut music titles performed that night.
The dance heated up as senior actor Slamet Rahardjo Djarot, who is also the Chief of Performance, Exhibition and Seminar for Indonesian 2015 Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) team, was invited to the stage to sing ‘Terajana’.
”We purposedly perform dangdut as the music of Indonesia, so that everybody can enjoy and dance together,” Slamet Rahardjo said about the most-awaited performance in the Indonesian stage at the festival.
