TEMPO.CO, Tokyo - The arrival of the U.S. President Barrack Obama in Tokyo, Japan, yesterday, appeared to have rejection. Tens of citizens gathered at the residence of Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, yesterday evening to protest on President Obama's visit.
The demonstration is held one day before the summit meeting between Obama and Japan’s leader today.
Demonstrators gathered to convey their anger against sensitive issues, especially involving the territorial problems between Japan and China. They accused the U.S. will use the threat of China to strengthen the power of their military. This matter, according to them, will threaten the peace and stability of Asia.
Obama’s trip to Japan is a part of his Asian tour. The president is scheduled to be in Japan for three days. Obama is scheduled to fly to South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines after Japan.
