TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After three years of slump caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the global tourism scene has bounced back. In Indonesia, this improvement is marked by the growth in tourists and the opening of new hotels and resorts.

Citing Travel and Leisure Asia, some of these resorts and hotels are listed below:

1. Celestia, the Indonesian archipelago

Ever imagine a Phinisi yacht with a luxury hotel feel to its rooms? Celestia is ready to sail you away to  Alor, Komodo, Raja Ampat, and Maluku, the Spice Islands. The 45-meter-long yacht with seven staterooms can house 14 guests and 17 staff, built by famed Bulukumba boatbuilders whose craft is recognized by UNESCO.

The owners of this luxury yacht include fashion designer Jasmine Chong and her brother Jason Tabalujan. Your booking includes dive equipment, activities and water toys, and all the decadent eats you can savor from a Michelin-starred chef—plus certain beverages and four hours of massage therapy per day. Booking starts from Rp180 million per night.

2. Further Hotel, Bali

Further will open in April. The curators are the husband-wife pair behind Canggu favorite The Slow, Claudio Cuccu and Martine McGrath. The hotel is located in separate but proximate sites with 11 quite spacious suites that exist in a palette of raw brickwork and warm-tone wood. Doubles are priced from Rp2.9 million per night.

3. Cap Karoso, Sumba

Cap Karoso is a luxe launchpad for exploring the Indonesian island of Sumba. Owned by a well-traveled French couple, this resort was built on six hectares of land, comprising 47 suites and 20 villas in Karoso Beach, Ate Dalo. Doubles are priced from Rp4,650,000 per night.

4. Innit, Lombok

This mini resort of seven beach “castles” is located atop the beach to the point where sand is the floor of their ground levels. Designed by Indonesian architecture stars Andra Matin, Gregorius Yolodi, and Maria Rosantina, the property boasts a long beachfront infinity pool and a restaurant named Anakampung. Doubles are priced from Rp4,386,000 per night.

5. Somewhere, Lombok

Perched high, visitors of Somewhere are invited to enjoy  180-degree views of Lombok’s dreamy southern coastline. Located 10 minutes from the center of Kuta, the hotel offers guests of its 20 saltwater-pool villas. Guests could enjoy peaceful activities from snorkeling, diving and yoga as well as adrenaline-fueled activities such as surfing, rafting, and paragliding. Doubles are priced from Rp4 million per night.

6. Ta'aktana Labuan Bajo

The ever-increasing popularity of Labuan Bajo creates an abundance of new properties, including Ta'aktana. The 34,000-meter square resort offers its guests a spa, an Olympic-size pool, a private beach, and five restaurants as well as diving activities to see manta rays.
