Jokowi, Iriana to Deliver Social Assistance in Visits to Central Java

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is currently on a working visit to Central Java on Monday, Jan. 22. Several agendas are slated for the president today, including delivering social assistance.
Accompanied by the First Lady of Indonesia Iriana, Jokowi headed to Central Java on a Presidential Aircraft-1 at around 06:00 a.m. local time.
Boyolali Regency is the first point of Jokowi's visit. landing on Adi Soemarmo Airforce. Jokowi and his entourage will continue their journey in a car.
During his visit to Central Java this time, Jokowi and Iriana both will deliver several assistance, including food assistance. Both will also review and inaugurate infrastructures, and land certificates, and attend student ceremonies.
The distribution of social assistance is believed to have some form of impact on Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the oldest son of Jokowi. The Presidential Palace in January affirmed that social assistance is a program pre-approved by the government and the House of Representatives and has no relation whatsoever with the general elections.
Several ministries accompanied Jokowi during today's visit, including Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan.
