TEMPO.CO, JakartaIn commemoration of Jakarta’s upcoming 493rd anniversary amid the coronavirus pandemic, tech-based tourism company Atourin offers a virtual tour dubbed "Keliling Jakarta" for a week starting June 22, 2020.

Varied destinations and themes are set every day with a duration of 2 to 2.5 hours. “This virtual tour is priced starting at Rp30,000 per person. Tourists can also choose cheaper packages,” said Atourin CEO Benarivo in an official statement on Monday, June 15.

On the first day of the tour, tourists will be invited to enjoy Batavia cultures and cuisines in Setu Babakan in South Jakarta up to Rumah Si Pitung in North Jakarta. On the second day, tourists can explore iconic and historical landmarks and learn about the history behind the famous Welcome Statue, Dirgantara Monument, and Liberation Monument of West Irian.

Exploring the beauty of the city’s parks will be the theme for the third day, while on the fourth day, tourists can visit Jakarta’s skyscrapers. According to the Skyscraper Center, the capital city is ranked seventh among the cities with the largest number of skyscrapers globally with 382 tallest buildings.

On the fifth day, the tour’s theme is Jakarta’s nightlife. Tourists will virtually visit famous hangout places such as Kemang and Jalan Jaksa. Those longing for beaches can take the virtual tour on the sixth day to the Thousand Islands regency, particularly Pulau Pramuka and Kampung Berseri Astra.

On the last day, tourists will be invited to Chinatown, Arab Village, and Portuguese Village and get in touch with the history about the influence of foreign cultures to the locals until now. The virtual tour’s registration is open from June 12, 2020 on the official website of Atourin.
