TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lion Air Group founder and CEO Rusdi Kirana immediately left Malaysia and flew to Jakarta after receiving report of the plane crash on Monday, October 29. Rusdi is the Indonesian Ambassador for Malaysia.
An official said that Rusdi left to Jakarta on a private jet on Monday afternoon, and canceled all of his agenda.
According to a staff member of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Rusdi looked appeared very upset and sad about the incident.

"We could see that he lost focus when leading the ceremony. Perhaps he had just received a phone call about the Lion Air tragedy," the staff, who refused to be named, said.
Through his Instagram account @rusdi.kirana, the Ambassador delivered his condolences and grief.
A Lion Air plane with the tail number JT610 crashed on to the waters of Karawang, West Java on Monday morning, just minutes after it took off from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Air traffic controller said they lost contact with the plane at 06:33, not long after it requested to return to base.
