TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior High School (SMAN) 46 Jakarta promised to pay the rest of the allowance to the students as the Ratoh Jaroe dancers for the opening of the 2018 Asian Games, Tuesday, October 2.
“We are promised that the rest of the allowance will be given tomorrow (today),” said a student, Monday night, September 1.
The students have calculated that there was still Rp88 million of allowance that must be given, even though the school had given Rp52,6 million to 81 dancers who took 13 training sessions.
“One student gets Rp650,000. Because, for one practice, a student gets Rp50,000,” said one student.

The students said that they were informed to get paid by the 2018 Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (Inasgoc) for US$15 or around Rp200,000 for one practice. They should get Rp2,6 million for 13 training sessions.
After the information about the allowance spread to the media, the school, on Thursday, September 20, gave Rp650,000 per student.
The Principal of SMAN 46 Farid Wahidin did not give details statement when he was met at his office. Farid was reluctant to explain the use of allowance given by the Inasgoc. “I’m lazy, ask the Education Authority,” he said.
