TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan does not deny the disappointment expressed by Bukit Duri residents in South Jakarta, after the city’s Community Action Plan (CAP) to fix and rehabilitate the area fell behind expectations.
“I feel the same, I am also disappointed by the agency that did not work as they should. Everyone will get a warning,” said Anies Baswedan in Ancol today.
Anies expressed his disappointment towards Jakarta Konsultindo as the consultant that won the tender to manage the Community Action Plan at Bukit Duri that is known to be worth Rp438 billion.
“The consultant did not work as they should have, they spent more time discussing with subsidiary agency (Sudin) rather than communicating with local residents,” said Anies Baswedan.
Anies Baswedan claims to have evaluated and met with the aforementioned instances upon handling the Bukit Duri resident that were evicted by former Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama. However, Anies was reluctant to reveal the results of the evaluation.
Previously reported, Head of the Ciliwung Merdeka Community and one of the residents that won the Bukit Duri class action, Sandyawan Sumardi spoke frankly about the CAP program that was far from what he expected it to be.
“It turns out that it was dominated by beautification, there are no substances upon preparing developments in the area,” said the Bukit Duri resident when Tempo contacted him on Wednesday, September 5.
