TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina said it would open 571 new gas stations providing Premium fuel in Java, Madura, and Bali on June 7, 2018.
Pertamina acting president director Nicke Widyawati said the additional gas stations were still under construction. However, she ensured the gas stations would open on D day -7 of Eid al-Fitr.
“We are currently re-conditioning the tanks and we'll later attach the signposts, thus everything will be ready by June 7,” Nicke said while inspecting fuel stock (BBM) along the Eid homecoming route of Trans Java toll road, on Sunday, June 3.

There are 1,519 gas stations providing Premium fuel across Java, Madura, and Bali and the number will increase up to 2,090 after the opening of the new gas stations. The gas stations can reportedly serve 8,000 liters of Premium per day.
Nicke explained the company had developed the Pertamina Go application to help consumers locate the nearest gas station. Consumers can also find gas stations via navigation-based application Waze.
During the 2018 Eid homecoming season, Pertamina will also provide 45 rest areas, 35 gas stations in toll rest areas, 63 kiosks providing Pertamax fuel, 13 Serambi Pertamax, 200 motorcycles providing fuel in packages, 20 fuel tanker trucks, and 105 fuel bags (BBM) at gas stations.
