Budi said the drivers complained about the low tariff per kilometer set by their company. He explained that the drivers proposed to increase the tariff to Rp2,500 per kilometer.
“The price is too cheap, now it is Rp1,600 per kilometer, so they feel that it is less expensive,” he said after a meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta.
According to Budi, the meeting agreed that the drivers will end its demonstration in the afternoon and will not continue tomorrow.
The government also plans to mediate between the online ojek drivers and the company tomorrow, at 16:00.
