TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The defendant of e-KTP corruption project Setya Novanto is scheduled to undergo the trial in Corruption Court, today in Central Jakarta, January 29. The trial will examine witnesses from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor.
Until this morning, there was no information about the witnesses, said Setya's lawyer, Maqdir Ismail when contacted by Tempo on Monday, January 29.
At the previous trial, on Thursday, January 25, the prosecutors attended the witnesses from the state and private sector. They are the former members of the House of Representatives (DPR) from Democratic Party period of 2009-2014 Mirwan Amir, and two officials of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs, Irman and Sugiharto.

From the private sector, the prosecutor attended are businessman Yusnan Solihin and Director of PT Data Aksara Matra, Aditya Priyadi. Yusnan claimed to be friends with Mirwan.
The former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was mentioned by Mirwan in the last trial. Mirwan claimed to have suggested SBY to stop the e-KTP project. Because he got information from Yusnan that there was a problem with the program. Mirwan did not explain the details of the problem. However, Mirwan said that SBY rejected his suggestion.
Whereas Irman testified that Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong told him that Setya Novanto is the main actor of the e-KTP project and that Setya was the one who determined the project`s budget. Sugiharto heard from Andi and Johannes Marliem about the same thing.
Setya Novanto was charged by the prosecutor to have a role in the passing of the e-KTP project budget in DPR in mid-2010 to 2011. For his role, Setya Novanto is said to receive a total fee of US$7.3 million. Besides receiving the money, he also received the Richard Mille wristwatch worth of US$135,000.
