TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three months after the attack on KPK investigator Novel Baswedan, the Jakarta Police now have a sketch of the suspect. The sketch was drawn based on the description given by three witnesses, who saw a suspicious man before the attack on April 11.
Novel had hydrochloric acid (HCl) thrown at him early Tuesday morning, April 11 by two unidentified men. He had just finished a morning prayer at a mosque near his home in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The attack left injuries on his face and left eye.

A few weeks earlier, some of his neighbors saw and took pictures of two suspicious men who seen to be observing and following Novel's relatives.
The two men, Muhklis Ohorella and Muhammad Hasan Hunusalela, had visited Polda Metro Jaya after the police received their pictures from witnesses. The police finally released them on the grounds that they were in the debt collection business.
The police also briefly detained and interrogated Ahmad Lestaluhu, a relative of Muhklis and Hasan. But the police released him because the security guard has a strong alibi. "I have never been in Kelapa Gading, never," he said.
Novel Baswedan is still being treated at a hospital in Singapore.
