Setya Novanto: Golkar Never Received Money from e-KTP Project

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Functional Group (Golkar) Party Chairman Setya Novanto said that the party never received the alleged IDR 150 billion fund from the electronic identification card program.
"About the charges that stated that [Golkar] will receive IDR 150 billion, we never received [any money]. We never even speak of it," Setya said at the Parliamentary Complex on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
Setya, who is also the House of Representatives Speaker, denied the allegation that he had helped in organizing the project and received kickbacks from the IDR 5.9 trillion mega project. Setya also denied that he had met with former Treasurer of the Democrat Party Muhammad Nazaruddin and businessman Andi Agustinus.
Setya said that until today, Golkar had never received any fund related to the project. "Hopefully, I never have to receive any fund from the e-KTP project," Setya said.
