TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi is ready to push the development of Nusawiru Airport in Pangandaran, West Java, to support the local fishery, agriculture and tourism businesses.
Minister Budi said that southern Java’s potential has compelled the government to develop Pangandaran area.
“Southern Java is very potential for tourism development, also potential to support national logistics for fishery and agriculture,” Budi Karya said in a press release on Monday, Nov. 14, as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia.
Budi expects Nusawiru Airport to have a large capacity to accomodate large aircrafts such as the Boeing 737. Nuswiru is currently under management of West Java provincial government.
