TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) team has carried out red-handed operation over two different cases yesterday. In addition to arresting a private citizen who tried to bribe Jakarta High Prosecutor General, the task force has also apprehended a member of Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).
“Yes, it’s true,” said the KPK Chief Agus Rahadjo, via a short message to reporters, Thursday, March 31, 2016. However, Agus did not reveal the identity of the detainees.
Reports said that the KPK task force has arrested six people. One of whom is a DPRD member with the initial `MS`.
The regional legislator offices had been sealed by the KPK officers. All of the detainees are still being questioned at the KPK’s office.
The probe would be held for 24 hours before the KPK identify their status. The KPK have yet to disclose the case in relation to the arrests.
