Indonesian Army Commander Supports New National Police Chief

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Army Commander General Moeldoko, asserted that Badrodin Haiti is a proper person to assume the National Police Chief (Kapolri) position. The General expressed his support after Badrodin was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo.
Moeldoko also expressed his optimism towards any efforts to synergize the Army and the Police now with Badrodin as the new Kapolri. Moeldoko added that the synergy between the police and the army must run smoothly to boost public confidence towards the two institutions.
"[I hope] the synergizing between the Army and the Police will improve in the future. Any problems must be resolved to give assurance to the public. So that everyone can feel safe," Moeldoko said.
