TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Survey Circle (LSI) has released its latest survey on public support towards two presidential tickets post the presidential election. LSI discovered that there has been significant changes occuring to both sides of candidate.
"When asking Prabowo supporters, most of them, tend to vote for Joko Widodo in case of re-election," said LSI researcher Ade Mulyana. "There are many factors that caused Prabowo's supporters to convert, one of which is the attitude of not accepting the presidential election [result]."
The survey covers data from August 4 to August 6, 2014, with 1,200 respondents in 33 provinces. LSI noted that the Prabowo-Hatta ticket's vote drops by 12 percent if a re-election occurs, collecting only 34.75 percent of votes. Meanwhile, the Jokowi-JK ticket scores higher with 65.25 percent of votes.
