TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa are to file new evidence before the Constitutional Court (MK) in the next trial to challenge presidential election 2014. The what-so-called as new evidence turns out to be ink-removing liquid.
"We will prove that there is a chemical compound, now remaining at large in the society, that can easily remove ink," said Prabowo-Hatta's lawyer Mahendradata. "Such liquid has been used [in the election] by the witness. We can ask the witness."
Mahendradata, however, was reluctant to mention the impact of the ink-removal in terms of Prabowo-Hatta's vote. "We [only] present all facts and let the judge decide," he said, while asking the General Electoral Commission (KPU) to provide some ink on their own. "The ink removal should be able to wipe off their ink. We do not want to provide the ink, or otherwise we would be accused of mixing it with water."
