Thousands of Kodam Jaya Personnel Ready to Secure New Year's Eve

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Military Command (Kodam Jaya) is going to deploy 7,000 personnel to secure and smoothen the celebration of New Year's Eve in Jakarta.


"We prepared 7,000 personnel to help the Metro Police, where they will be placed in seven strategic locations," stated Maj. Gen. E Hudawi Lubis, Commander of Kodam Jaya, at Kodam Jaya Headquarter on Friday.


However, he did not tell the seven locations in detail. Principally, Kodam Jaya is committed to secure the city and take firm action against those who make mischief.


"For mapping, we coordinate it with the Metro police in seven criminal-prone areas," he uttered. By doing so, Lubis hoped that the New Year celebrations could be implemented smoothly. He also instructs residents to safeguard the city together.
