Soekarno Hatta Wins Award of Best Airport of the Year 2018

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta`s International Airport of Soekarno-Hatta has again won the award of Indonesia`s Best Airport of The Year 2018.

Terminal 3 of the country`s largest airport was named the best airport in the country at a contest held by the Air Transport Directorate General in cooperation with the magazine, the Bandara.

Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal Affairs of the airport Febri Toga Simatupang said here on Saturday the new award made complete what the airport already achieved this year.

Terminal 3 of the Soekarno Hatta airport topped 105 other airports in the country based on a survey held from April to October this year.

Earlier, the OAG Megahubs International Index 2018 named the Soekarno Hatta airport a Megahub with international connectivity index the 10th among 50 best international airports in the world.

"We are thankful that the service users appreciate our performance . Each award we win would be a boost to continue to improve our service," Febri said.

Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said the Airport Award 2018 is expected to encourage airport operators to join in a healthy competition in providing best services for airport users without neglecting security and safety.
