TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police have discovered a 300 square-meter marijuana plantation in a field owned by state-owned forestry company Perhutani in Cisarua, Puncak, Bogor. The authorities confiscated three trees and seven sprouts as evidence.
Bogor Police’s anti-narcotics chief Adj. Comr. Andri Alam said the marijuana field was discovered during the police’s annual Lodaya Operation 2018, which lasts from November 23 to December 2.
“The cannabis field was discovered after we received tip-offs from locals who were already suspicious,” said Andir at the Bogor Police headquarters on Friday, November 30.

According to the police's investigation, the marijuana trees were still in their infancy. The marijuana field was surrounded by decorative plants that were placed to disguise the field.
The police arrested two locals who claimed they planted the marijuana trees out of curiosity. “We apprehended suspects HAR (47) and A (29), who are suspected of being responsible in managing the marijuana field,” said Andri.
