TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential hopeful Sandiaga Uno welcomed the volunteers of Gatot Nurmantyo in Posko Melawai, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 6. The volunteer group was the second organization that supports Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno to vie in the 2019 presidential race.
The same vision between Gatot and issues brought up by Sandi was their reason to avert their support for Prabowo-Sandiaga pair. According to them, both Sandi and Gatot strived to strengthen the community economy, open job employment, and stabilize the commodity price. “So, we are ready to back Bang Sandi in the 2019 presidential election,” said Irfani Rahman Djojosudiro as the volunteer coordinator at Posko Melawai today, Sept. 6.
The volunteers named themselves as Gerakan Nusantara Prabowo Sandi (GN Padi), which was previously known as Militan Gatot Nurmantyo (Militan GN).
Sandi agreed with their statement on the same vision of him and Gatot. He said approaches and consolidations were still built up with the former commander general of National Armed Force (TNI).
Sandi said to have prepared a position in his campaign team should Gatot Nurmantyo decide to join him. Meanwhile, Prabowo, he added, already had a lot of sessions with Gatot.
“We assure that Pak Gatot has chances to deliver his ideas and thoughts,” Sandiaga Uno said.
