TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar Party chairman Airlangga Hartarto has appointed a replacement of the House’s Commission VII deputy speaker Eni Maulani Saragih, or better known Eni Saragih, who was recently named a graft suspect.
“Within 1-2 days, the Golkar party has appointed the House’s deputy speaker commission VII,” said Airlangga in Presidential Office, Jakarta, Friday, July 20.
Airlangga said Ridwan Hisjam assume Eni's position. According to him, the decision was a final based on the circular letter inked by the party faction chair. “Any legal case including this [corruption] is prohibited, and that the consequences are clear,” he said.

Ridwan Hisjam was a member of House's Commission X overseeing education, culture, tourism, creative economy, youth, sports, and library. Ridwan is currently the House’s deputy speaker of the Golkar faction.
Eni Saragih was named as a graft suspect in the Riau I steam power plant (PLTU Riau I) along with Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspected Johannes delivered Rp4.8 billion in bribe money to Eni Saragih to expedite the signing of the project deal managed by his company.
The graft case of PLTU Riau I began from the sting operation conducted by KPK on Friday, July 13. Eni Saragih was arrested in the residence of Social Affairs Minister Idrus Marham, while Johannes in his house. From the operation, KPK confiscated Rp500 million in cash and its receipt.
