TEMPO.CO, South Tangerang - Three police resorts that consist of the South Tangerang, Ciputat, and Kelapa Dua area successfully arrested seven specialist motorcycle thieves.
“There were four places in which the theft happened, in kademangan, Ciputat Timur, Bambu Apus Pamulang, and at Cirendeu,” said South Tangerang Police Chief Adj. Comm. Ferdy Irawan on Tuesday.
Ferdy said that the suspects that were arrested are Suripto (48), Rudiyansah (32), Rusmono (28), Riko (24), Yopin (20), Sapero (26) and Deri that conducted their criminal acts in separate locations. He also explained that three of the suspects had to be aggressively dealt with since they posed a threat for the police.
He further explained that the suspects would conduct their crimes from dawn until sunrise by patrolling neighborhoods and monitoring empty houses that have a parked motorcycle inside.
The police chief explained that the stolen vehicles would be sold by the suspects to the West Java region at a ridiculously low price of one million to one and a half million rupiahs. The seven specialist motorcycle thieves are currently detained at the South Tangerang jail.
