TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Businessman Sam Aliano reported YouTube and Facebook to the Police`s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) today, May 24. He reasoned that the two companies have been displaying content that can be used by terrorists to make bombs.
"The content teaches the terrorists to make bombs to kill people, while these companies are facilitating terrorists to learn to make bombs," said Sam Aliano at Bareskrim HQ, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 24.
Sam Aliano explained YouTube and Facebook have been repeatedly reminded to block the negative content. However, according to Sam, they do not want to follow the rules to block the content endangering the people.
"These companies earn a lot of money from Indonesia but they do not want to follow the rules in Indonesia," he said.
Sam Aliano, a businessman who declared himself a Presidential Candidate in 2019 also hoped the police immediately ask YouTube and Facebook to block its negative content.
"They must block the content that is harmful to society, or better they leave Indonesia," said Sam Aliano.
